Hi, I’m Amber
I create wedding cakes for couples who appreciate beauty, individuality and a little something unexpected.
I specialise in bespoke wedding cakes that balance refined simplicity with natural, artistic details — seasonal blooms, organic textures, handmade elements and finishes in fondant or ganache.
With formal training in visual arts, my approach is led by the materials themselves. I love allowing fresh flowers, texture, form and handmade details to become part of the design, creating cakes that feel artistic without being overly contrived. Your vision, your venue and the character of your day provide the starting point; together, we create something entirely your own.
And while beauty may draw you in, flavour is what brings you back. My years in the restaurant industry have shaped a strong instinct for flavour and balance, resulting in a carefully curated collection of wedding cake flavours that are every bit as memorable as the designs.

Let’s talk about your day
If you love the style of my cakes and think we might be a good fit, I'd love to hear about your day. Start by filling in the enquiry form below with a few key details about your wedding and what you're imagining for your cake.
I'll check my availability and, if your date is free, we'll take it from there.
Let’s design
2
Bring your ideas; I’ll bring the expertise
Once I've confirmed that I'm available for your date, we'll start bringing your ideas together. For more involved designs, I love having a chat — it's often the easiest way to understand what you love, what you're unsure about and the feeling you're hoping to create on the day.
You don't need to have every detail worked out. Bring me your inspiration, your colour palette, your flowers, your venue — or simply an idea of what you like — and I'll help translate those ideas into a cake design that's uniquely yours.
I'll keep notes from our conversation and, where helpful, provide sketches or design references. Your design can continue to evolve as your plans come together, with final details confirmed closer to the day.
Securing a booking
3
Let’s make it official
Once we've settled on the size, flavours and overall design, I'll prepare your final quote.
A 20% deposit secures your date in my calendar, with the remaining balance due one month before your wedding. Your quote will include all relevant details, along with my terms and conditions, so you'll know exactly what's included.
Finalising the details

Everything comes together
As your wedding plans come together, I'll send through a final details form to capture everything I need for the day — from delivery and venue details to the final cake design and floral arrangements.
You can complete this once those details have been confirmed, so there's no need to have everything figured out from the beginning.
I'll liaise with your venue, planner or florist where necessary to coordinate delivery, placement and any fresh florals being incorporated into your cake. Final payment is due one month before your wedding date.
Your Wedding Day

Beautifully delivered, ready to celebrate
The finishing touches will be done on your beautiful cake. I will time my delivery window so that I’m not in the way of any movement of guests or the procedings, while making sure that the cake is not sitting exposed for any longer than necesssary. Generally, if your cake is to be dressed with fresh flowers, I’ll take some time to do this at the venue with florals which have been left for me by your florist. If possible/necessary, I’ll explain any structural elements to the person who will be cutting the cake, or leave a written guide explaining anything they might need to know.

Yes… and no.
There isn’t a separate “wedding cake” price simply because it’s a wedding. The cake itself is made from the same quality ingredients, using the same care and craftsmanship as any other cake I create. What is different is everything that surrounds the cake.
Wedding cakes are often larger, more intricate and completely bespoke. There is usually considerably more time involved in discussing your ideas, developing the design, preparing a custom quote and making sure every detail works with the styling of your day. Depending on your plans, this can also include liaising with your florist, venue or wedding coordinator, as well as carefully planning delivery, setup and presentation.
And, of course, there are the less visible costs involved in running a professional cake business. Every cake needs to account for ingredients and consumables, packaging and cake boards, structural supports, equipment and maintenance, electricity and water, insurance, vehicle costs, accounting and administration, as well as the time and expertise involved in actually making the cake.
So while you aren't paying a premium simply because your cake is for a wedding, you are investing in a much more considered service.
Your wedding cake isn't just a cake. It's a bespoke piece of edible art, designed specifically for your celebration, made with professional ingredients and craftsmanship, and delivered with the care required to make sure it arrives looking exactly as it should.

Not exactly — and that’s intentional.
While I’m always happy to take inspiration from cakes, colours, flowers, textures or details that you love, I don’t reproduce another cake designer’s work exactly. My own artistic style naturally comes through in every cake I create.
I work best when I’m given the creative freedom to interpret your ideas in my own way. This also allows me to respond to the materials I’m working with — whether that’s fresh flowers, ganache, fondant or handmade elements — and let their natural qualities guide the final design.

Yes!
Just one simple job for you here: Please let your florist know if you will be wanting extra flowers ordered for your cake. These will be added to your overall floral bill, and will ensure that the cake florals are cohesive with the floral design of your day.
From there, I’ll liaise with your florist, ensuring that the flowers they order for the cake are non-toxic, and that I’ll be able to get the flowers form them at a time suitable to everybody.
As I will usually dress the florals onto the cake onsite at the venue, I’ll take into account the styling of the rest of the blooms when styling the cake.

I have a selection of cake stands available for you to hire for your wedding cake. A $50 fully refundable deposit is required and will be returned once the cake stand is safely returned to me in Macksville.
Please note that cake stands must be returned to me in Macksville; I’m unable to return to the venue to collect them.
Unfortunately, I’m also unable to provide a cake knife or serving utensils, so these will need to be arranged separately.

Your cake deserves to be seen — and kept safe. Please ensure it is displayed on a sturdy table and secure cake stand, away from heat and direct sunlight throughout the day.
Avoid high-traffic areas where the cake could be bumped or knocked, but don’t hide it away! Take advantage of its visual impact by placing it somewhere considered, with a beautiful backdrop and enough space for your guests to admire it.
A little thought about placement will help keep your cake looking beautiful and make it a feature of your celebration.
